WordPress repair and support in South San Francisco

Broken, outdated, or abandoned WordPress site? I fix it.

I repair WordPress sites that stopped working, were left unfinished, or lost their developer. I work with small businesses and individuals in South San Francisco and the surrounding area.

First step: a paid assessment ($195). Repair work is quoted after you read the written plan.

Spec: 4:3, about 1200 x 900 px, JPG or WebP, under 150 KB, no text inside the image. Use alt="" if the picture is decoration only. If it shows something meaningful, describe it in the alt text.

Problems I fix

Which of these sounds like your site?

You do not need to know the cause. Describe what you see. The assessment finds the cause.

The site shows a white screen or an error

Often caused by a failed update or a plugin conflict. I find the cause and restore the site where it can be restored.

The contact form stopped working

Messages do not arrive, or the form shows an error. I check the form settings, email delivery, and plugin conflicts.

The site is slow or unreliable

Slow sites usually have several small causes. I check images, plugins, and scripts, and fix the biggest causes first.

You inherited the site or lost access

You may not know who controls the domain, hosting, or admin accounts. I help you find out, remove old access, and write down where each login is kept.

The site was never finished

Pages are missing, the design is half done, or a project stopped partway. I review what exists and complete the agreed pieces.

The content is out of date

Old prices, hours, services, or staff. I update the text and images you send me.

How it works

Start with a paid assessment.

Every project begins with an assessment. I review your site and send a written plan. You decide what, if anything, to approve after you read it.

Assessment fee: $195

Site condition

WordPress version, theme, plugins, visible errors, and whether a usable backup exists.

Ownership and access

Who controls the domain, hosting, SSL, admin accounts, and any business email tied to the site.

Written plan

Fixes ranked by urgency, what can wait, and whether repair, cleanup, or a rebuild fits your site.

Not known until I see the site: the cause of the problem, the repair cost, and the time it will take.

  1. You send the site address and a short description of the problem.
  2. I review the site: WordPress version, theme, plugins, errors, and who controls the domain and hosting.
  3. You receive a written plan with fixes ranked by urgency and a list of what can wait.
  4. You choose what to approve. I send a quote for the repair work.
  5. I take a backup when the site allows it, do the approved work, and send notes on what changed.

Ongoing support

Support after the repair.

After a repair, you can choose a monthly support plan. It covers routine upkeep and puts your site first in line if something breaks.

Routine upkeep

WordPress, theme, and plugin updates, plus a check that backups are running.

Monitoring

Uptime checks and a review of site errors.

Priority help

Your requests go ahead of new work. The response time is written into your plan.

Plans are available after a repair. The monthly price is set after the assessment, based on your site.
